Kazi Nabil Ahmed, member of the parliament (MP) from Jessore-3 constituency, paid homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his grave in Tungipara of Gopalganj on Wednesday.
He reached Tungipara at 1:45pm.
After placing the wreath, he stood in solemn silence showing profound respect to the architect of the nation’s independence.
Later, he offered Fatiha and prayed for the salvation of all the martyrs of August 15 and the country’s Liberation War.
The newly elected MP then went to the administrative building on the premises and signed the inspection book there.
Besides, he visited the sites bearing the memories of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara.
Jessore District Awami League Vice President Mehedi Hasan Mintu, among others, accompanied the MP.
