CES, ULAB organizes cultural diversity workshop at Sust

The Center for Enterprise and Society (CES), ULAB organized a workshop titled “Exploring Diversity Through The Cultural Rhythms Of Sylhet” in partnership with Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Sust) on Thursday.

The workshop aimed to promote discussions on the cultural diversity that exists in Sylhet. Aaj Muktomoncho, a student-led cultural club of Sust, served as the organizing partner for the event, said a press release. 

The event featured an interactive session between students of Sust and CES, ULAB representatives, fostering discussions on the cultural diversity in Sylhet. 

Students shared experiences and stories, addressing challenges and highlighting the role of Sust in creating an inclusive campus environment for students from diverse backgrounds.

Nujhat Khan, deputy manager, CES, ULAB shared CES' seven-year journey championing diversity in Bangladesh and globally. 

The workshop began a collaborative series between Aaj Muktomoncho and ULAB's Kaleidoscope Club, aiming to promote tolerance and harmony through arts and dialogue. Mowaz Mohammad, general secretary of Aaj Muktomoncho, Sust, expressed gratitude for amplifying the voices of minority communities through this inter-university collaboration.

The event concluded with students performing a Monipuri song and a Rabindra Sangeet, emphasizing cultural expression to foster understanding and unity.
