Four people on a human hauler were killed after the vehicle was hit by a bus in the Bhanga upazila in Faridpur.
The incident took place on the Dhaka-Khulna highway at around 7pm on Friday, said Bhanga Highway police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Sayeed Mohammad Khairul Anam.
Three of the deceased have been identified as Mehedi Matubbor, 25, Hafizul Islam Habu, 40, and Sirajul Islam.
At least five people were injured in the incident. Two of them were taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital (BSMMU).
Bhanga Highway Police Station OC said a Dhaka-bound bus of Sohag Paribahan from Khulna hit the Gopalganj-bound human hauler from behind. “Police are working on the spot.”
