Bangladesh Awami Jubo League general secretary Md Mainul Hossain Nikhil on Sunday morning said that there was no room for conspiracy after the end of the 12th national parliamentary election.
After casting his ballot at Bashir Uddin Ideal School & College voting centre on Sunday morning, he also said that despite conspiracy circling Dhaka-14 constituency to prevent voters from coming to the voting centres, voters will show up and prove that there is no use in conspiracy.
He expected voting in his constituency to end peacefully later in the day.
Despite low turnout in the morning, the Awami League candidate hoped more voters would turn out to cast their vote later in the day.
There are a total of 418,212 voters in the Dhaka-14 constituency. Among them 213,466 are men, 204,742 are women, and four are transgender.
Dhaka-14 comprises Dhaka North City Corporation Wards 7 to 12, as well as Kaundia Union of Savar upazila.
Md Almas Uddin is contesting from Jatiya Party, while Trinamool BNP is represented by Md. Nazmul Islam.
