Mercury drops to season's lowest at 7.4°C in Tetulia

The temperature has been dropping in the northern districts of Bangladesh for the past few days as the intensity of winter is increasing along with dense fog after evening.

Tetulia upazila of Panchagarh on Wednesday morning recorded this winter's lowest temperature so far in the country at 7.4 degrees Celsius.

A mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Dinajpur, Panchagarh and Nilphamari.

Dhaka's lowest temperature was 14.9 degrees Celsius, according to the met office.

According to the Rangpur divisional met office, the temperature will remain low for the next few days.

The cold weather is severely affecting the lives and livelihoods of the people of northern Bangladesh.
