Mohammad Rassel, the founder of the e-commerce company Evaly, has been released from jail.
He was released from Kashimpur Central Jail in Gazipur at 6:30pm on Monday evening, confirmed Shahjahan Ahmed, superintendent of Kashimpur, on Tuesday afternoon.
“Upon the arrival of his bail documents for all cases at the jail, he was released following proper verification," he added.
On September 16, 2021, the former CEO of Evaly was arrested from his residence in Mohammadpur on charges related to fraud and embezzlement.
Both Rassel and the then chairman, Shamima Nasreen, Rassel's wife, were arrested. Subsequently, Rassel's wife was released on bail.
