In a seasonal shift, the northern and western parts of Bangladesh are likely to face a mild cold wave starting Thursday.
“The weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Moderate to thick fog may occur over the northern part and the river basins of the country from midnight to morning,” said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin on Tuesday.
On Thursday, the night temperature may fall by 1-3°C and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, moderate to thick fog is forecasted to envelop parts of the country from midnight to morning, contributing to reduced visibility in affected areas.
Night and day temperatures may fall slightly over the country, adds the BMP bulletin published on Tuesday.
