Alliance Française de Dhaka unveils new website following global campaign

  • Part of ‘Make it Iconic – Choose France’ campaign 
  • Website reflects commitment to support French learners, says François Grosjean

French language and cultural agency in Bangladesh, Alliance Française de Dhaka launched a newly designed website on Thursday, marking the global campaign “Make it Iconic – Choose France”.

Ambassador of France to Bangladesh Marie Masdupuy hosted a reception at her residence on Wednesday evening to celebrate the launch of Alliance Française Dhaka's new website.

Director of Alliance Française de Dhaka François Grosjean was also present.

"We are thrilled to introduce our website, which reflects our dedication to providing an enriching digital platform for individuals passionate about French language learning, cultural exchange, and artistic exploration,” the director said. “This website reaffirms our commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community”.

Up-to-date Event Calendar: A dynamic events calendar keeps visitors informed about upcoming cultural events, exhibitions, concerts, film screenings, and educational workshops hosted by Alliance Française de Dhaka.

Easy Registration and Membership: Visitors can conveniently register for language courses, become members, and access membership benefits directly through the website.

France has recently launched an international campaign to brand the country with its assets from a robust industrial base to innovation, and cultural and artistic vitality.

This is to strengthen the economic attractiveness of the country.

“We launched a few weeks ago a worldwide campaign to promote France because France, we think, is the best country in the world. We want to attract many more people who like tourism, gastronomy, development projects and French culture,” said Ambassador of France to Bangladesh Marie Masdupuy.

As part of the campaign, billboard advertising in airports, and business districts of major international cities and advertisements in international press outlets began in November across five countries - Germany, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, India and the United States, and in France.

A French delegation is set to visit Bangladesh next year to explore business opportunities.

Famous French Paul Bakery will also open its outlet in Dhaka.
