The price of 22-carat gold hit Tk1,09,875 per bhori, the highest in the history of Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (Bajus) adjusted the gold price, attributing the increase in the global market.
They declared the bhori of 11.664 grams of the precious metal at Tk1.09 lakh from Thursday, according to Bajus.
The price of gold increased four times in this month of November.
The association released a statement after the standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of Bajus made the decision in a meeting on Wednesday.
Earlier, the existing price of each bhori of 22-carat gold ornaments was Tk1.08 lakh.
With an increase of Tk1,000, the price of 22-carat gold now stands at Tk1.09 lakh per bhori.
The price of 18-carat gold has been fixed at Tk7,710 a gram, while that of traditional gold is at Tk6,425 a gram.
The price of 22-carat silver is Tk147 per gram, Tk140 for 21-carat silver, Tk120 for 18-carat silver, and Tk90 for traditional silver.
