Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Sunday arrested a total of 20 people from different parts of the country in connection with car vandalism, arson and sabotage.
So far, from October 28, RAB arrested a total of 370 people involved in violence and sabotage in different parts of the country, said Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of RAB headquarters’ media wing Imran Khan.
RAB forces arrested Feni District Juba Dal President Zakir Hossain and Chapainawabganj district Chhatra Dal President Yusuf Ali from Chapainawabganj Sadar area for their suspected involvement in police constable Amirul killing.
Besides, Feni district Jubo Dal General Secretary Nasir Uddin, Bogra district BNP Joint Convener Mizanur Rahman, Jhenaidah district BNP Joint Convener Shaon and Manikganj's Ghior thana BNP Vice-President Billal Hossain were arrested in connection with the cocktail bomb blast and sabotage case in Islampur area under Feni model police station.
More than 150 RAB patrol teams have been deployed in the capital and more than 450 patrol teams have been deployed across the country to prevent violence and sabotage and to maintain law and order situation in the country.
