Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB) has expressed its concern about targeted killings of journalists in the Gaza Strip.
Innocent journalists are being targeted frequently and at least 24 journalists have been killed since October 7. This is an irreparable loss to their families, DCAB said.
In a statement issued on Friday, DCAB President Rezaul Karim Lotus and General Secretary Emrul Kayesh condemned the killings, saying journalists being killed in the line of duty is a heinous crime and cowardice act, and the world must now speak out against it.
DCAB also demanded a neutral and full investigation into those killings under the UN system and said the persons involved in such killings need to be brought to justice.
It urged all sides to refrain from killing innocent journalists.
DCAB president and general secretary expressed deep condolences and extended sympathy to the family members of the journalists who lost their lives.
