The maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to lower the cautionary signal raised due to Cyclone Hamoon.
Squally weather is unlikely over the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh, said the latest bulletin of the met office on Wednesday.
All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay and adjoining areas have been advised to proceed with caution till the evening.
Hamoon, over northeast Bay and adjoining areas, moved northwestward and crossed the coast at 1 am, weakening into a deep depression near Satkania in Chittagong, said the met office.
