Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will have to go abroad for treatment after completing the due legal process.
He made the remark while addressing a conference at Kakrail in Dhaka on Saturday.
The home minister said: "Khaleda Zia's family's request for medical treatment abroad has been forwarded to the Law Ministry. Legal issues must be addressed in this regard."
Regarding the security of the US ambassador to Bangladesh, the minister assured: "The US ambassador's residence is highly secure, and there are no security concerns."
