Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company Limited (BIFPCL) has recently awarded fly ash evacuation and purchase contract to M/S RNPG Alliance for its 2x660MW Maitree Super Thermal Power Project at Rampal in Bagerhat.
Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) of BIFPCL Md Ziaur Rahman and Tashfiqul Alam Khan, partner of RNPG Alliance (Lead Partner), signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
RNPG Alliance is a sister concern of RR Group of Companies.
The fly ash purchased from BIFPCL will be used as raw material for cement factories in Bangladesh which will reduce dependency on import and transportation costs as well. Fly ash will be evacuated in an environment-friendly way from the plant.
Sayeed Akram Ullah, managing director of BIFPCL, along with senior officials of the company and M/S RNPG Alliance were present at the signing ceremony.
