The North South University's Department of Marketing and International Business held an enlightening webinar on the “Art of Creating Conceptual Models in Business Research” on Sunday.
This event was a part of their ongoing faculty development efforts, reads a press release.
The event's highlight was Dr Rameshwar Dubey from Montpellier Business School, France, who graced the session as the main speaker.
The Dean of the School of Business and Economics at North South University, Professor Dr Helal Ahammad, was present as the special guest.
The session saw participation from 20 respected faculty members. Dr Niaz Ahmed, a professor in the same department, introduced Dr Rameshwar to the attendees. He pointed out Dr Rameshwar's significant contributions to Business Management and Operations.
Dr Rameshwar stands among the top 1% of most-referenced scholars and has an impressive list of editorial roles in top-tier journals.
Dr Rameshwar emphasized the need for theory development in business research during his talk. He encouraged researchers to think outside the box and address modern business challenges, especially in the digital age. He also advised against what he called "reverse engineering" in research. The session wrapped up with an interactive question-and-answer segment.
In his closing words, Dr Helal Ahammad praised the department for organizing such valuable sessions. He also expressed gratitude to Dr Rameshwar and looked forward to more collaborative efforts to boost research quality at the school.
