The government on Monday announced Tk188.49 crore incentive for 19,53,700 farmers across the country, aiming to increase the production of 10 varieties of Robi crops.
The Ministry of Agriculture issued a handout in this regard on Monday.
The ten crops include wheat, maize, mustard, sunflower, peanuts, soybean, onion, summer pulse (mung), pulse (masoor and keshari).
Farmers will get fertilizers and 20kgs of wheat seeds, two kilograms of maize seeds, one kilogram of mustard/sunflower seeds, ten kilograms of peanuts seeds, eight kilograms of soybean seeds, one kilogram of winter variety seeds, one of mung/masoor seeds and eight kilograms of khesari seeds for per bigha land, it said.
The incentive is being given from the regular budget of the ministry.
Already an order in this regard has been issued and the distribution of incentives will start soon at the field level.
