UIU, OSL-DU signs MoU for research collaboration

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between United International University (UIU) and Department of Organization Strategy and Leadership, University of Dhaka (OSL-DU) for research collaboration at the UIU campus in Dhaka on Sunday. 

Prof Dr Muhammad Shariat Ullah, chairman, Department of Organization Strategy and Leadership, University of Dhaka, was present as the chief guest in the ceremony, says a press release issued on Monday. 

Prof Dr Md Abul Kashem Mia, vice chancellor (in-charge), United International University (UIU) was present as the guest of honour. 

Prof Dr M Rezwan Khan, executive director of IAR and former VC of UIU, presided over the ceremony.  

The executive director of IAR, UIU and chairman, Department of Organization Strategy and Leadership, DU signed the MoU on behalf of their respective universities. 

Dr Md Zulfiqur Rahman, registrar of UIU, head of department, along with the faculty members and high officials were present in the program.  

Through this MoU, OSL-DU and UIU will be able to collaborate on research projects, publish their findings in respected journals, and promote joint research. 

Faculty members from the research departments of both universities will get funding for their studies.

The Institute for Advance Research (IAR) of United International University has pioneered the provision of Research and Development (R&D) funds for the researchers to promote quality research activities in research areas and has spent more than Tk5 crore since 2019. 

Thanks to the United Group's active financial support for helping the Institute for Advance Research (IAR) of United International University. 

In addition, UIU supported research through sponsorship and collaborated with other national and international organizations. 

There are currently more than 80 active research projects at IAR, which distributes research funding twice a year.
