Taqsem A Khan's tenure as the Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (Wasa) managing director was extended on Thursday for three years.
This marks the sixth time that his term has been extended.
A notification was issued concerning this extension, signed by Local Government Division Deputy Secretary Mustafizur Rahman.
Previously, on July 11, the Wasa board held a meeting where they decided to send a proposal to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD), requesting the retention of Taqsem as managing director for an additional term.
The LGRD serves as the line ministry for Wasa.
Taqsem has occupied the post since October 2009. His sixth term will conclude on October 14.
