Two cases have been filed against BNP leaders and activists in connection with vandalism of buses and auto-rickshaws, as well as arson incidents in Ashulia, Savar. Additionally, another case has been registered in relation to a cocktail explosion in Aminbazar area.
The investigating officers for the two cases, Sub-Inspector (SI) Arafat Uddin and Noor Alam Mia of Ashulia police station, confirmed the information on Sunday morning.
In three separate cases, more than 100 unidentified activists, including BNP leaders, have been accused. However, no arrests have been made yet in connection with these cases.
Regarding the two cases filed at Ashulia police station, the police stated that several buses were vandalized, and one was set on fire in a quiet area of Ashulia on Saturday afternoon. Besides, an auto-rickshaw was set ablaze.
Bus driver Anwar Hossain filed a case against 32 individuals, including many unnamed accused, in connection with the bus burning incident.

Ashulia police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) SM Kamruzzaman said that two cases have been filed in connection with the vandalism and arson of buses and auto-rickshaws. Over 50 BNP leaders and activists have been named in these cases, along with numerous unnamed accused. However, no arrests have been made yet.
Meanwhile, in another case registered at Savar Model police station on Sunday morning, 40-45 BNP leaders and activists have been charged in connection with four cocktail explosions and the recovery of six fresh cocktails near Awami League's peace rally in Aminbazar, Savar.
According to the police, BNP leader and former vice-president of Dhaka district BNP Kofil Uddin has been named as the main accused in the case of the cocktail explosions. Additionally, former BNP MP Dr Salahuddin Babu and BNP leader Khorshed Alam were also named in the case.
Savar Model police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Deepak Chandra Saha stated that Sub Inspector Harun Or Rashid of Aminbazar outpost in Savar Model police station filed the case as the plaintiff in connection with the cocktail explosion. However, no arrests have been made yet in connection with this incident.
