A Dhaka court on Thursday granted bail to a father accused in a case filed over a clash with a physician of Mugda Medical College Hospital centering the admission of his daughter infected with dengue.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Asheque Imam passed the order after hearing a petition in this regard, said Selim Khan, sub-inspector (SI) at the general registration section of Mugda police station in the court.
SI Md Abdul Manan, also investigating officer of the case, said the accused admitted that he mistakenly misbehaved with the physicians as he was mentally shattered and apologized for that.
Defence counsel Moradul Arefin said it was a bailable case and his client was a victim of circumstances.
As the physician had no objection to the bail, the court granted bail on a bond of Tk5,000, he said.
