BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir met with the party's chairperson Khaleda Zia on Tuesday night, just two days before the party's planned grand rally in the capital.
The BNP secretary general went to the BNP chief's Gulshan residence around 8pm and had near 40 minutes meeting with her, said BNP media cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan.
He said Fakhrul enquired about the BNP chief's health condition.
Party sources said the BNP secretary general informed the BNP chief about the party's plan centring the grand rally slated for Thursday.
The BNP chief also gave Fakhrul the necessary directions in this regard.
Fakhrul last met the BNP chief on July 8 and informed her about the one-point demand.
On July 22, the BNP leader announced to hold a grand rally in the capital as part of their one-point demand.
The party has already sent an application to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police commissioner seeking either Naya Paltan or Suhrawardy Udyan for the venue of the rally.
