The by-polls for the Netrokona-4 parliamentary seat, which fell vacant following the death of its previous incumbent, Rebecca Momin, is set to be held on September 2.

Interested candidates will have to submit their nomination papers to the returning officer by July 24.

The nominations will be scrutinized on July 25, and the last day for withdrawal of candidacy is July 31.

Voting will take place from 8am to 4pm without a break, using ballot papers.

Rebecca, an Awami League lawmaker representing Netrokona-4 for three straight terms, died on July 11 at the age of 76.
