Ikramul Hasan Shakil has made history by becoming the first person from Bangladesh to successfully complete the challenging 1,700km “Great Himalaya Trail” expedition in Nepal.

Over the course of 109 days, Shakil covered a distance of 1,700 kilometers, starting from the border gate of Hilsha area in Nepal-Tibet to the Kanchenjunga Base Camp in the eastern part of Nepal.

This extraordinary route is known as the Great Himalaya Trail, a testament to its immense challenges and beauty.

His journey ended at Kanchenjunga North Basecamp at Pangpema (5,142 metre) on July 9. Shakil left Lonak at 4:30am, and reached Kanchenjunga Base Camp at 7:50am the same day.

So far less than 50 people around the world have successfully completed the entire journey.
