Faruk Hasan, joint convener of Gono Odhikar Parishad's Reza Kibria-led faction, claimed that Nurul Haque Nur is the government's secret agent and the government is tempting him to become a member of the parliament.
“Nur secretly met with Israeli and Indian intelligence agencies. Some leaders of the party including Nur are secret agents of the government,” Faruk claimed during a press conference held at National Press Club on Wednesday.
He also announced a 3-point demand during the press conference.
The demands are: resignation of the fascist government, hold national elections under a caretaker government; release all the royal prisoners including BNP Chief Begum Khaleda Zia; and add “except Israel” phrasing from the Bangladeshi passport.
Gono Odhikar Parishad Joint Convener Mia Moshiuzzaman said: “None of the newly enfranchised youngsters were able to vote in the last 10 years. Sheikh Hasina has taken away the joy of voting. She is oblivious due to her desire for power.”
