In a significant reshuffle, the government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DCs) in 10 districts.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification in this regard on Thursday.
According to the official announcement, Gazipur Deputy Commissioner Anisur Rahman was transferred to Dhaka. In his place, the Power Division's Deputy Secretary Abul Fateh Mohammad Shafiqul Islam has been appointed as the new DC of Gazipur
Collected Furthermore, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Department Mosaraf Hossain has been appointed as the DC of Rangamati.
Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor's Personal Secretary Shah Mojahid Uddin will serve as the DC of Bandarban.
Principal Secretary to the prime minister's Chief Secretary Md Kaysarul Islam has been transferred to Tangail.
Personal Secretary to the home minister Md Asaduzzaman has been appointed as the DC of Pabna and Personal Secretary to the deputy minister of Water Resources Arifuzzaman has been assigned to Shariatpur.
In addition, Deputy Secretary of the Finance Division Suraiya Jahan has been appointed as the DC of Lakshmipur.
Personal Secretary to state minister for Disaster Management and Relief Khandakar Md Mushfiqur Rahman will serve as the DC of Comilla, and Economic Relations Division's Deputy Secretary Mushammat Shahina Akhtar has been appointed as the DC of Feni.
