At least nine people, including seven Bangladeshis, were killed in a devastating fire at a furniture factory in a commercial area of Al Hofuf city in Saudi Arabia on Friday.
The deceased were Arif Md Sahadat, Barek Sarder, Md Shakil Pramanik, Saiful Islam, Ruman Pramanik, Md Firoz Sarder and Md Rouf Hossain.
According to the Bangladesh embassy in Saudi Arabia, three of the deceased expatriates were from Natore.
Among the dead, one was an Indian national.
Two people injured in the accident are undergoing treatment at the burn unit of King Fahad Hospital.
Al Hofuf is located 350 kilometres from the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh.
The initial reason behind the fire was not known.
