Bangladesh reported two more deaths from dengue while 50 new patients were hospitalized with the fever in 24 hours till Sunday morning.
With the latest deaths, fatalities from dengue rose to 103 in the country so far this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of them, 93 people died in Dhaka division alone, four in Mymensingh, two each in Chittagong and Khulna, and one each in Rajshahi and Barisal divisions.
Eighteen patients are undergoing treatment at hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 32 cases have been reported from outside the division.
Some 155 patients who were diagnosed with dengue are receiving treatment in the country as of Sunday.
Of them, 101 are receiving treatment at different hospitals in the capital while the remaining 54 were listed outside Dhaka.
Since January, some 28,177 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with dengue in the country. So far, 27,919 dengue patients have left hospitals after recovery, said the DGHS.
