Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has urged the local authorities and law enforcement agencies to take firm action to improve law and order at the Rohingya camps of Cox's Bazar.
He said that the law enforcers, if needed, should fire bullets to stop the rampant drugs and arms trade at the camps.
The minister was speaking at an event in Sylhet on Friday, reports Bangla Tribune.
Dr Momen said: “We had a meeting yesterday [Thursday] to find out how to improve the law and order at the camps. This is very concerning.
"Many of them do not want to go back to Myanmar, and that is why they are involved in various misconducts. I don’t know for sure, but we need to know.”
