Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdur Razzaque emphasized the government's commitment to building a smart Bangladesh. He highlighted the significant improvements in Bangladesh's communication system, including the road infrastructure, which has played a pivotal role in driving the nation's rapid progress.
He also shared plans to modernize the Madhupur and Dhanbari upazilas.
The agriculture minister made these remarks during a virtual speech as the chief guest at a ceremony held in Madhupur, Tangail, to distribute cash grants to the underprivileged from the minister's voluntary fund.
Expressing his regret for not being able to personally attend the donation distribution due to work commitments, he extended warm wishes to everyone for a joyous Eid celebration.
During the grant distribution event in Madhupur upazila, a total of Tk6,24,000 was distributed among 416 individuals including students, needy, sick, and underprivileged across 11 unions.
Madhupur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shamima Yasmin presided over the event. Upazila Awami League Vice-President Yakub Ali, Vice Chairman Sharif Ahmad Nasir, and Former Upazila Chairman Khandkar Abdul Gafur Montu were present at the event among others.
