Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal to provide government employees with a special incentive amounting to 5% of their basic salary.
The instruction came during her discussion on the proposed budget for 2023-24 fiscal year at the parliament on Sunday.
"I urge the finance minister to contemplate granting government employees 5% of their basic pay as a special incentive in these trying times. I trust that he will support this proposition, allowing us to award them a special incentive of 5% of their basic pay," Hasina remarked.
Additionally, she emphasized the diverse measures undertaken by her government to curb inflation and foster economic growth in her speech.
