As per the government's plan, technical education will be coordinated with general education instead of being a separate curriculum, said Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel.
He said this at an event marking the Technical and Vocational Education Week-2023 at the Institute of Diploma Engineers (IDEB) on Thursday.
The deputy minister highlighted that the government's strategy involves introducing skill-based education for students pursuing general education.
He emphasized that even after completing higher education, individuals will have increased opportunities to engage in vocational technical education.
Furthermore, the deputy minister mentioned the government's initiatives aimed at bringing about positive changes in technical and vocational education. He expressed the importance of making technical and vocational education accessible to all, ensuring that unemployment rates are minimized.
During the event, rector of Bangladesh Public Administration Centre, Omar Faruque, presented the keynote paper, shedding light on pertinent aspects of the subject matter.
