House owners under all city corporations and municipalities across Bangladesh will enjoy a 10% holding tax rebate for rooftop gardening, Local Government Minister Md Tajul Islam has said.
The minister made the announcement at a press briefing at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
The government had taken the initiative to keep the temperature in control and make the country green, he added.
Talking about Eid-ul-Azha, he said instructions had been given to the authorities concerned to clear sacrificial animal waste by the evening of Eid day.
“Besides, animals will have to be sacrificed at the designated places,” he said.
