A total of 1,550 Hajj pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia from Dhaka, via four flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, on Monday.
So far, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has carried a total of 40,320 Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia this year -- starting from June 21, 2023, said a press release of the national flag carrier.
Biman will take a total of 61,111 hajj pilgrims from Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia this year and its pre-Hajj flights will end on June 22, the press release reads.
This year, a total of 122,221 pilgrims from Bangladesh are going to perform Hajj.
The Hajj is expected to be held on June 27 depending on the sighting of the moon.
