Another Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal leader, who was shot in the Narsingdi clash, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Friday morning.
The deceased is Ashraful, 22.
Two people died in the incident so far.
Inspector Md Bacchu Mia, in charge of DMCH police outpost, confirmed the information, adding that Chhatra Dal leader Sadekur had died on Thursday.
The bodies of the deceased have been kept at the hospital morgue for post-mortem. The matter has been reported to the concerned police station.
A 71-member committee of Chhatra Dal's district unit was announced around four months back. Several clashes occurred between the office bearers of the newly formed committee and those who were not given posts, reports UNB.
The deprived Chhatra Dal men brought out a procession, in favour of a district BNP program scheduled to be held on the day, near the house of BNP Joint Secretary General Khairul Kabir Khokan in the Chinishpur area of Narsingdi Sadar upazila around 3:45pm on Thursday.
Suddenly, a group of Chhatra Dal opened fire on the procession, said Mayeen Uddin, a former joint convenor and post-deprived member of the organization.
Sadek was shot in his forehead and Ashraful in his thigh, he said, adding that they were first rushed to an area hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital due to their critical condition.
