Newly elected President Mohammed Shahabuddin is set to visit Tungipara in Gopalganj on Wednesday.
This will be his first visit to Tungipara after being sworn in as the 22nd president of Bangladesh.
Upon reaching Tungpira, the new president Md Shahabuddin will pay a floral tribute at the tomb of Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Later, he will participate in a prayer for the salvation of the souls Bangabandhu, his family members, who were brutally killed on August 15, 1975 and three million martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Great Liberation War.
On this occasion, the president will be given a guard of honour by three forces.
The president will also sign the visitors' book kept at the tomb complex.

Extensive preparations have been taken by Gopalganj district administration to make this visit a success.
Security arrangements have been ensured in the surrounding areas including the mausoleum complex.
Deputy Commissioner Kazi Mahbubul Alam of Gopalganj has confirmed that the newly elected president will reach Tungipara around 12:30pm.
All preparations have already been completed to make the visit successful, said the DC.
He also said that the people of the district are eagerly waiting to welcome the president with great enthusiasm.
The president will leave for Dhaka on the day after the end of all the national programs, the DC added.
