The highest law and force will be applied to implement the recommendations made by the Fire Services and Civil Defense department after surveying the risky markets, said State Minister for Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Dr M Enamur Rahman.
He came up with the remark while responding to journalists at the secretariat on Monday.
Stating that the capacity and capability of the fire service has increased, the state minister said: "It was possible to put out the fire in six hours with the help of people from different levels including the fire service in the Bangabazar fire."
"Even developed countries also lose property due to fire incidents, there is nothing to be disappointed in. Currently, the capacity and capability of the fire service has increased," he added.
The state minister also said that 48 units of fire service and 722 fire service personnel worked to put out the Bangabazar fire.
Enamur further said: "Despite the global recession and financial crisis, the capacity of the people of the country has increased somewhat. This time there was a long line of people after the Eid congregation. I have never seen such a long line before. It indicates that everyone is happy. That made me happy."
