Freedom fighter and Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder and trustee Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury has become seriously ill.
He has long been suffering from kidney complications and is currently undergoing treatment at Dhanmondi Nagar Hospital in Dhaka.
Jahangir Alam Mintu, Press Adviser of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, confirmed the information on Friday afternoon.
He also mentioned that Zafrullah was suffering from old age disease for a long time..
Mintu said that Zafrullah Chowdhury is undergoing treatment under Professor Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr Mamun Mostafi, head of Nephrology Department of Gonoshasthaya Samaj Vittik Medical College.
