The authorities of Dhaka University suspended a student of Department of Criminology on Sunday over the allegation of sexually harassing junior female students.
The suspended Sakin Tanvir is a student of 2016-17 academic session.
The university Vice Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman approved the suspension on Sunday, according to a press release sent from the public relations department of the university.
The authorities sent him a show-cause notice and asked him why he would not be expelled from the university. He was also asked to reply in seven working days.
