The Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) Thursday urged the government to take punitive measures against the businessmen who "looted Tk1,000 crore" by manipulating the price of broilers.
CAB leaders made the demand at a human chain in front of the National Press Club.
CAB Vice President SM Najer Hossain, General Secretary Advocate Humayun Kabir Bhuiyan, CPB General Secretary Ruhin Hossain Prince, Bangladesh General Citizen Society Convener Mohiuddin Ahmed, Jatiya Tarun Sangho Chairman Md Fazlul Haque and NAP Organizing Secretary Mita spoke at the human chain.
