Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia only passed in mathematics and Urdu in the matriculation examination (equivalent to SSC).
Sheikh Hasina said Khaleda Zia passed the Urdu exam as it was the language of Pakistan and as she (Khaleda) was skilled at counting money, she passed in mathematics.
“Ziaur Rahman had somehow passed the HSC exams while their son went from one school to another, no one knows what he passed,” she said.
The prime minister made these remarks at the public rally at circuit house ground in Mymensingh on Saturday afternoon.
The Awami League president said the BNP occupied people's homes while Awami League gave homes to the homeless.
“Not a single person will be homeless in Bangladesh as long as Awami League is in power,” she said.
“We have delivered electricity to every house. Even where there is no electricity, we made solar panels. Solar panels have been installed even in remote areas of Bangladesh,” she added.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of 103 development schemes to ensure the overall development of the Mymensingh division.
She inaugurated 73 development projects involving Tk570.07 crore and laid foundation stones for 30 other schemes worth Tk2,762.27 crore in Mymensingh Division, unveiling the plaque at a grand public rally held at the Circuit House ground in the afternoon.
