Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina should have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for the way she is working for humanity, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said.
“I don't understand why she has not received the prize yet,” he said after inaugurating a police station in Shariatpur on Thursday.
Regarding Khaleda Zia's release, the minister said her release period from jail was coming to an end.
“Her (Khaleda Zia) family has yet again sent an application so she can seek medical treatments from home. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will take the final decision on the matter in accordance with the law,” the minister said.
Regarding the several exploitations and fires across the country, the home minister said several investigations are ongoing to find out whether the incidents are accidental or sabotage.
“It is initially believed to be a gas explosion. Special teams of the Bangladesh Army, RAB, and police are working on the investigation. After that, the real reason behind the explosions will be clear,” he noted.
