Military representatives of 7 countries visit Sundarbans

Earlier, they paid tribute to Father of the Nation in Gopalganj

A delegation of military representatives from seven countries working in Dhaka went on a trip to the Sundarbans.

They entered the Karamjal Wildlife Breeding Centre in East Sundarbans on a luxury yacht on Monday morning.

Howladar Azad Kabir, officer-in-charge of Karamjal Wildlife Breeding Centre, said: “The delegation was welcomed as they entered Karamjal at 10am on the luxury yacht Sunway Cruise.”

“After that, they enjoyed the beauty of the Sundarbans and various establishments including the wildlife breeding centre of Karamjal. The military delegation is led by Air Commodore Rafi,” he added.

The eight army officials are - Brigadier General Manmeet Singh Sabarwal of India, Brigadier General Ali Ejaj Rafi of Pakistan, Brigadier General Roshan Shumsher Rana of Nepal, Brigadier General Soye Niyat of Myanmar, Colonel Erdal Sahin of Turkey, Colonel Mahmud MJ Sharawanah of Palestine, Lieutenant Colonel Demsi Cheril Sinclear of Australia and Squadron Leader Avitosh Sharma of India.

Spouses and children of the military representatives were also present.

On Sunday, the delegation of military representatives from seven countries working in Dhaka paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by laying a wreath at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj.
