Bangladesh Chhatra League has called for ragging, and sexual harassment prevention day as part of social awareness movement in educational institutions.
Chhatra League president Saddam Hossain made this call at a campaign on the Dhaka University campus against ragging and sexual harassment of students on campuses.
"The environment of educational institutions will be improved if we will able to observe ragging and sexual harassment prevention day," Chhatra League President Saddam Hussain said.
Mazharul Kabir Shayan said: “High court has given instructions to form anti-harassment and ragging cells in educational institutions. We want to give an ultimatum to the administration of the affiliated institutions including Dhaka University to form anti-harassment cells and anti-ragging cells as soon as possible.”
“Dhaka University Chhatra League will protest if this is not done,” he added.
The general secretary of the DU unit of Chhatra League Tanvir Hasan Saikat along with leaders and activists of various units were present at the rally.
