A fire broke out on the seventh floor of Mouchak Tower in the capital's Malibagh on Sunday.
Four units of the fire service brought the fire under control in about an hour, confirmed Lima Khanom, duty officer of Fire Service Civil Defence Headquarters, in the afternoon.
She said: “We received the information at 11:37am that the seventh floor of the 14-storey building caught fire. However, nothing is yet known about the origin of the fire, casualties or damages.”
