Update : 17 Jan 2023, 11:01 PM

The temperature has seen little change in the last two days, and the cold wave sweeping across some regions of Bangladesh is not going anywhere just yet, according to the met office.

Badalgachi recorded the lowest temperature in the country at 7.6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said.

The BMD reported that the temperature was still under or around 10 degrees in several regions.

The temperature was 8.1 degrees in Rajarhat, 8.2 in Syedpur, 8.3 in Rangpur, 8.6 in Rajshahi and Ishwardi, 8.8 in Dimla, 8.9 in Dinajpur, 9.6 in Tetulia, 9.9 in Chuadanga, 10 in Bogra, 10.1 in Tarash, 10.7 in Mymensingh, 10.4 in Sreemangal, and 10.5 in Kumarkhali.

The weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy skies across the country.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the river basins and the northwestern part, and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere from midnight to morning.

A mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions and the district of Chuadanga, the BMD said.

Nighttime temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged across the country, it added.
