Regarding the bail of BNP senior leaders, Law Minister Anisul Huq said that no ministry of the government intervenes or interferes with the work of the court during the case.
He told this to journalists at Akhaura railway junction station on Friday.
The minister said: “I have come to know through the attorney general that there has been some violation of law in the bail of BNP leaders from the High Court. For that, the government has made it to the Appellate Division.”
On December 9, a team of Detective Branch (DB) of police picked up BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and standing committee member Mirza Abbas from their homes in separate raids in the capital city.

Later, they were arrested in a case over the clash between police and the party activists in the capital's Naya Paltan. A Dhaka court sent them to jail rejecting their bail pleas.
