The admission process of Spring 2023 semester has started at Canadian University of Bangladesh's permanent campus in Pragati Sarani, Dhaka.
Victory day Spot Admission Carnival started from 17 December 2022, according to a press release issued on Saturday.
Admission fee for regular course is Tk4,000 and diploma is only Tk1,000.
There are scholarships up to 100% above tuition fees based on the results of SSC and HSC examinations. Those who have GPA-10 excluding the fourth subject in the SSC and HSC examinations will get a 100% discount on tuition fees. An additional 5% discount will be given if three or more students are admitted together.
There is a 50% discount on tuition fees in MBA programs and 60% discount on tuition fees including scholarships available for admission to the Executive MBA course. The Regular MBA usually requires 60 credits including internship and the Executive MBA requires 48 credits. Alongside, students can do Executive MBA in hybrid mode in just one year. There are two systems for classes, onsite and online.
Canadian University of Bangladesh is one of the first universities to have Shipping and Maritime Science. The main objectives of studying Shipping and Maritime Science are to acquire knowledge about the sea, the relationship between land and sea, how to exploit and use marine resources. The university has developed its course plan with these subjects in mind. Alongside academic studies, laboratory work and field trips, fieldwork is compulsory here.
Moreover, 100% of media graduates are guaranteed jobs through studying media communication and journalism. The rest of the programs include BBA, CSE, EEE, LLB, English and Masters in Maritime Transportation and Logistics.
