Kabir Bin Anwar joins as new cabinet secretary

He has a 34-year-long career and served the government in various capacities

Kabir Bin Anwar on Thursday joined his new office as the cabinet secretary.

Kabir Bin Anwar, who is a cadre of the seventh batch of BCS and started his career as an assistant commissioner on February 15 in 1988, has been appointed as the new cabinet secretary of the government. 

He replaced Khandker Anwarul Islam.

On December 11, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification in this regard.

He has a 34-year-long career and served the government in various capacities.

The new cabinet secretary held important responsibilities both in the field of administration as well as at the policy level.

Since 2018, Anwar was serving as senior secretary to the government in the Ministry of Water Resources.

Kabir Bin Anwar achieved various awards at home and abroad for his outstanding performance in public welfare and related activities during his service.
