The newly elected committee of the Alumni Association of the Department of Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) on Sunday took charge of their respective positions following a virtual AGM.
Newly elected 11 members of the association took responsibility following the event, according to a press release.
Md Mahfuzur Rahman Mukul took the charge of president while Aritra Ankan Mitra took over as general secretary.
Meanwhile, the former president of the organization Ariful Islam Arman officially handed over the responsibility to the newly elected committee.
Abdullah Al Mosret Rifat was elected as the vice president of the association. Didarul Karim Shikder won the post of joint secretary, Dawood ur Rashid as organizing secretary, Prama Sanchari as treasurer and SS Al Arefin as publicity and publication secretary.
Moreover, the four newly elected executive members were Md Fazle Rabbi Sourav, Rabiul Haque, Zereen Tashreen Tashin Prabha and Tilka Binte Mehtab.
The election of the Executive Council of ULAB MSJ Alumni Association was held on 25 November 2022 from 8am-4pm. Chief Election Commissioner Taskin Al Anas announced the election results on Facebook Live at 6pm.
Mohammad Sajjad Hossain, assistant professor of the University of Liberal Arts, was also present at the handover ceremony.
