Train communication on Dhaka-Mymensingh route resumed two hours after an engine of a Dhaka-bound commuter train from Mymensingh went out of order in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur on Wednesday morning.
Shamima Akhter, station master of Sreepur Railway Station, said the Dhaka-bound Jamuna Express train from Mymensingh entered Sreepur station at 6:24am.
The locomotive left for Gazipur after a two-minute break. Then the engine of the train went out of order near the southern outer terminal of Sreepur station, causing the disruption on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route, she said.
However, the train communication resumed around 8:30am after a new engine was attached to the commuter train, she said.
